The exam lessons come in two long runs, 4–9 and 16–23, with 25 and 26 at the end. A sensible plan is to finish one run fully before starting the next, rather than dipping into every chapter. Lessons 1–3 come before the first exam run and go to the TMA, but they hold the number work the rest of the book uses, so don’t skip them. Keep the practical work in step with the theory instead of leaving it for the last month.
Combining Mathematics 211 with other subjects
It is in Group B. For Class 10 you take 5 subjects, with one or two languages from Group A; Group B subjects can be combined freely. Transfer of Credit may apply if you passed it elsewhere in 2022 or later. Related: English 202, Science and Technology 212, Social Science 213.

Yes. Mathematics 211 is marked as a practical subject in the 2026-27 scheme of studies, so you pay ₹150 practical fee on top of the ₹300 exam fee.
Which Maths 211 lessons are for the exam?
16 of the 26 lessons: 4–9, 16–23, 25 and 26. Lessons 1–3, 10–15 and 24 are for the TMA.
Is Maths compulsory in NIOS Class 10?
No. NIOS has no compulsory Maths. You need 5 subjects with one or two languages. Many students still take Maths because most Class 12 streams expect it.
