Reading the Faridabad centre list
Count institutions, not listings: 24 listings, but only 23 separate institutions behind them. 22 are schools or colleges and one is an ITI, which mostly admits its own trainees. 19 listings offer science, which is about normal for Haryana. Senior Secondary (Class 12) is offered on 23 listings and Secondary (Class 10) on 24.
Medium and where the centres are
They are spread across 7 PIN codes, so travel time differs a lot from one centre to the next. Six of the listings have Palwal addresses and PIN codes even though NIOS files them under Faridabad, so check the address before you count them as local. Hindi and English cover nearly everything, with Urdu on 1 listing.
Before you choose a centre in Faridabad
Exams are not always written at the centre you join; NIOS names the exam centre on your hall ticket. Students who did not clear BSEH often weigh the board’s own re-exam against NIOS; we can compare both for you. About 29% of the listings (7) show a current renewal date. Forms, fees and document uploads all go through the NIOS portal, so a visit to the Regional Centre is rarely needed. When a student from Faridabad sends us a marksheet, we check that the centre’s registration is still current and whether Transfer of Credit can carry subjects over from your last marksheet, then file the form.
