Which lessons are for the TMA and which for the exam
- TMA lessons (11): 1, 2, 5, 6, 11, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22 and 27.
- Public exam lessons (16): 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25 and 26.

In 302, the four writing lessons (23–26) are practical and repeat in a predictable form: a letter, an email, a report, a job application. They are a good place to secure marks early. The reading lessons need more time. The TMA lessons, which include the first two lessons of the book, are a good warm-up before the exam lessons.
Combining English 302 with other subjects
It is a Group A language. For Class 12 you take 5 subjects, with one or two languages from Group A. Transfer of Credit may apply if you passed it elsewhere in 2022 or later. Related: Economics 318, Business Studies 319, Home Science 321.

Questions about English 302
Are letter and email writing in the 302 exam?
Yes. Lessons 23–26 (letters, emails, reports and job applications) are exam lessons, not TMA lessons.
Is English 302 the same as English 202?
No. 202 is Class 10 English and 302 is Class 12 English. They have different lessons and different TMA splits.
